The Belle of Maine is family-owned and operated and includes housekeeping cottages, motel rooms and NEW two-room luxury suites. Our location is in historic Wells bordering the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. All our accommodations offer a panoramic view of the refuge and Atlantic Ocean beyond.

Guests of all ages will enjoy our attractive and spacious grounds with an in-ground heated pool and spa. There are lawn games, a playground for the children and several barbecue/picnic areas for our guests’ enjoyment. We also offer an on-site laundry facility for your convenience. Being located mid-way between Portsmouth NH and Portland ME provides our guests an excellent base from which to explore the best of Southern Maine. We are within walking distance of the Wells Auto Museum, choice restaurants, a pharmacy, mini-golf, movie theater and, of course, Wells Beach! The Shoreline Trolley stops at the Belle of Maine and provides alternate transportation to the beach and connects with neighboring communities from York to Kennebunkport.
